Three Kick-Ass Things From Three Imaginary Girls

Mon Frere, MonFrere.net — The “Sound Off” winners were Bellingham’s Mon Frere, a trio of nearly-old-enough indie-rockers featuring piercingly raw female vocals, catchy keyboards, fanciful lead guitar, and a commanding use of a drum set. Their sound was equal parts Rainier Maria, Bjˆrk and Hole.

Idiot Pilot, IdiotPilot.com— Imaginary Boy Michael X was so smitten with Idiot Pilot that we’re going to let him review them: "Daniel Anderson’s multi-instrumentational wizardry provides the perfect backing to Michael Harris’ haunting vocals and honest-to-god poetic lyrics, and together they transcend their punitive ages to create densely layered, emotionally charged electro-something that is at the same time both danceable and intelligent."

The Lonely H, TheLonelyH.com— We don’t know about you, but we find it perplexing when folks born in the ‘90s have sex appeal. The Lonely H features five 14-15 years olds from Port Angeles, WA, who play everything from noodle-y electric guitar solos to intricate piano melodies to a resonating cello. They have great hair, as only youth can have, an incredible repertoire of diverse indie-rock play, and the most overzealous fans that we’ve seen since Zach Davidson (of Vendetta Red) sang Bon Jovi.

Three Imaginary Girls cover tons of local music and host live events, from music showcases to rockstar karaoke. Check out threeimaginarygirls.com for more info.
