Don’t get us wrong—we each have favorite movies which we’ve been known to watch over and over—but, oddly enough, we have a longer list of favorite soundtracks! 24 Hour Party People: A Britpop connoisseur’s staple that covers all important music spawned in 1980s-1990s Manchester (i.e. Joy Division, Happy Mondays, New Order).
Morvern Callar: The titular heroine’s dead fiancé leaves behind a stellar mix-tape: Broadcast, Boards of Canada and Spoon, to name a few.
Lost in Translation: This film’s beautiful cinematography translated into a brilliant musical mix including: the Jesus and Mary Chain, Air and never-before-heard material from My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields.
Rock ‘n’ Roll High School: The Ramones-centric staple.
