Refusing to provide concrete details about herself, she asks her readers to call her WHO. Providing astute commentary on society, politics and life, the archive is rich in entertainment to be taken in small doses or all at once.

TASTE LIKE HIP HOP —Rapsnacks, the “official snack of Hip Hop,” wins this issue’s good packaging award. These average potato chips with snazzy titles such as “Lil Romeo Bar-B-Quin with Honey”, “BBD Back At the Ranch” and “Magic Honey Dew Cheese Curls” are beautifully packaged with cartoon images of hip-hop stars. But how do they taste, you ask? Let’s just say, buy a pack and keep it on your shelves to sell on eBay.

ELECT ME — Are you fed up with an electoral system that leaves behind anyone who doesn’t want to vote for Democrats or Republicans? The Washington Citizens for Proportional Representation are an electoral reform group focusing on implementing a PR system in Washington State that would give third party candidates a fighting chance at winning some local seats and representing citizens more fairly. A meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 21 at the Washington Citizens for Proportional Representation Steering Committee meeting, Seattle Public Library University Branch, 6pm For more information visit fairvote.net/washington.

ACID TRIP — Japan has a history of turning out some amazing psychedelic rock. Japanese legends Acid Mothers Temple are bringing their own raw brand of rock’n’roll—brimming with both traditional Japanese folk undertones and a soft spiritual side—to the Pacific Northwest and I’m not quite sure anyone can truly be prepared. Acid Mothers Temple and Subarachnid Space play Tuesday, June 1 at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle and Wednesday, June 2 at Berbati’s Pub in Portland.
