Celebrating 25 years of business this past April, Scandals remains a Portland drinking institution to this day. Catch Munro while he’s tending bar and he’ll remember not only your name, but also what you drink—a sure sign of someone born to be a bartender. Be sure and catch their T.O.G.A (Touch Other Guy’s Ass) night; it’s a blast and helps the bar live up to its name. With two rooms, Scandals is sure to give you some memorable times. (Note to Seattle tourists and unemployed Portlanders: this is a great bar to get a cocktail in the afternoons!)

What is your favorite drink to make?
Something I create like "Munro’s Tropical Yum Yum" which has three different flavored rums, pineapple, orange and cranberry juices, and whipped cream.

What’s your least favorite drink to make?
Frozen drinks.

What’s the most scandalous thing that has happened here?
My life has been threatened for cutting people off, but that goes with the territory.

What’s your bartender pet peeves?
Please know what you want and have your money out when you get to the bar.

What makes Portland guys so hot?
There’s something in the water.

What’s the most memorable pick-up line someone’s used on you, and did it work?
"So did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" And, yes, it did.
