There are 359 "delightfully tacky, yet unrefined" Hooters restaurants in 43 American states and 14 different countries. Essentially they’re a successful sports bar chain with cheap food and skimpy outfits. Yet, along with all the guys that come there to ogle the girls, Hooters is also frequented by families with kids, because their bad girl image is really that—an image. They really just sling burgers and beers with a little more flesh and attitude. It's not politically correct in any way, but its fun and friendly atmosphere is hard for us to resist

How long have you worked at Hooters?
Five years on and off. I left to have two kids and work at Microsoft, but I keep coming back for the money. It’s easy cash and supplements my income well.

What’s your favorite part about working here?
When I was younger and first working here, I liked all the attention you get from the guys that come in. But now it’s more about meeting a wide range of customers. It’s actually good for networking.

Hooters seems somewhat cult-like, from your matching uniforms to the birthday chants and rituals. You also seem to have a lot of loyal followers. Can you tell us about your devoted followers?
Every girl has regulars that always sit in their sections. It’s funny, I left for a few years, but when I came back, some of the same regulars were sitting in their same chairs at the bar. Regulars bring us presents like homemade brownies and Whitman’s Samplers. I won’t eat them; my grandma gave me Whitman’s Samplers, it kind of spoils the memory. The regulars seem kind of lonely and enjoy the attention we give them here.

Does Jenascia from "America’s Next Top Model" still work here?
Yes. She was actually working earlier today. [Damn! We just missed her!] She got a lot of attention after that show, but she’s now pretty much a normal Hooters girl again.
