Vanessa Davis' most recent book, Make Me a Woman, includes many comic strips first published in Tablet Magazine. Her first collection of diary comics, Spaniel Rage, was published in 2005.
Pretty funny; I enjoyed this. There are parts of everywoman running through this witty comic. I started stinking at ballet in first grade, and it was down hill until well into adulthood when I finally figured out that exercise and me just had to establish a relationship.
Even Zumba can feel threatening and is only as good as the teacher is on that day. I suggest the author try Shabam, found in many gyms across the country. It’s the only exercise I have ever done where I have really enjoyed myself and the quality is always there.

Loved it! As I was reading I was going to tell you to try Zumba! I love my local JCC: no ladies in just-right workout clothes – in fact, no dressing up at all – people from every fitness level all having fun together.
I’m fairly uncoordinated and I love to go to any class and make a fool of myself while sweating. My teenage daughter just likes to run on the treadmill. When I suggested that we go to a Zumba class together, she rolled her eyes so far and fast I thought they might come loose outta their sockets!

Brill as ever. I do not know Shabam! But I too enjoy Zumba. And I loved NIA, which I should really get back to. Sometimes the instructor makes the class turn away from the mirrors, which I approve of. When she doesn’t, I too employ the hide-behind-a-pillar strategy.

I have a shape, if you will admit that “ROUND or PEAR” is a shape! 8-)
