Great article on the etrog. Good information both on significance of the etrog itself and the people involved and all of it taking place on the actual street where the etrog trade truly began in New York City. Five stars for a really well rounded piece!

Dear Ms. Sheraton,

Some time ago, you wrote a book about bialys in which you featured "Kossars", from where I have bought bialys for decades. A few years ago, I discovered "Coney Island Bialys & Bagels'. I think their bialys and Kossars are about equals.

Since I live in Brooklyn, Coney Island B&B is closer.

My question has to do with "firsts in NY". Coney Island B&B claims to have been founded in 1920 and Kossars says it started 65 years ago, which would be 1945.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
