Wonderful goods from you, man. I have understand your stuff previous to and you're just too fantastic. I really like what you've acquired here, really like what you are stating and the way in which you say it. You make it entertaining and you still take care of to keep it wise. I cant wait to read far more from you. This is really a tremendous site.

hi, rachel - josie is 8. her favorite of all the books on both lists (she didn't read Tropical Secrets, The Brooklyn Nine, or Lost, and she started the Einstein book but found it too hard for her) was actually the janus korczak book, to my shock! the runners up were Importance of Wings and Strawberry Hill.

on my blog i listed a bunch of other notable jewish kids books of 2009:

Marjorie --
These look amazing! I just wish I had read this list before I bought books for my niece and nephews for Hannukah. I'm especially glad to see that not all are Holocaust-related -- a pet peeve of mine in Jewish kids' books. Can you remind me how old is Josie now - that would help me gauge whether Talya at 8 will like books that Josie liked.
Happy Hanukkah!
