Here’s what I meant to say:

The people of Iran have heard slogans attacking foreigners for over thirty years, The opposition demands for democracy, the signs in English, the videos posted on You Tube show that that propaganda hasn’t been all that effective.

Its the role of public diplomacy and advocacy by Western intellectuals to point out the link between the régime’s repressive nature and its aggressive foreign policy.

The Israelis have the right to protect themselves from a threat of annihilation. If its clear that they intend to do so ,that may indeed give the U.S and its allies the leverage they need to put pressure on Iran and insure that the Iranian government either collapses or changes its policies.

As for the régime restoring its credibility by building a bomb ,that train has left the station. The hangings,the show trials and the rapes have made it so unpopular that nothing short of a complete change of course can help to restore its legitimacy.The primary question facing Western governments is how to help the opposition turn things around in Iran so that its triumph will eliminate any need for Western intervention.

Iran needs to be isolated, closing down all its embassies in Europe and North America, closing its overseas banks, and locking its entire power elite into an effective travel ban. Harassing its merchant shipping fleet, slowing it down. The Iran government thinks it can weasel its way into the world and out if its predicament, they wanna play dirty? Well I am sure so can the West. Since Iran seems to be keen on covert operations around the globe, why don’t we do the same to them, and just deny all we do, just as they do. I could imagine that this war of attrition can be won rather sooner then later. After all, keeping 60 million people in line with so much pressure on them is not possible. How many can they hang before the rooting bottom falls out? What are they going to do with the nukes? You can’t eat them can you. The Russians had thousands of bombs and they just crumbled before our eyes one day. What chance does a system have that disenfranchises fifty percent of its people and only works because it sodomizes its opponents to the point of insanity? We have been there before many times in the last century. Pigs don’t fly and neither do these fascists.

I believe the power of democracy….therefore I support the cause that the people in the streets of Iran believe in. They need a little more time to achieve a goal that has escaped them for generations. United States, the EU, Israel, and the people of the world must give the Iranian nation some more time…… At the end of the day – if the dream of the masses on the streets of Tehran fades away – war – will always be there as an option…….so why rush into it?
