Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” provides a catchy title. It has an idea of bravery mixed with confidence. You’ll find nothing Pollyanna about that. I would possibly not support every little thing he says, but he’s our president, as well as for me, he inspires confidence. That can do more for any country than any number of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I used to be a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity isn’t over. I have come across the quips of those who don’t believe Obama is capable of doing it. But step back a second. Would anyone have most of us fail simply to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Attempting to keep our priorities straight, let’s work together with this president and build our future.

Strategy of Generosity??? Global Marshall Plan??? Spiritual Progessives??? All of that sounds a lot more sinister than people who prefer less government intrusion and lower taxes.

And you are calling Sarah Palin and Tea Party participants the “extremists?” Think again. The real extremists are people like you and the U.S. leadership who want to bankrupt America and leave a federal deficit that will enable the U.S. to be taken over by China, Russia, Japan, and Dubai. I wonder what will happen to Israel and the Jews when your enemies take control of your best ally? Why are so many American Jews pushing for the destruction of America?

One of these days you will learn that it was the so-called progressives (i.e., communists and marxists) who sold us out to the global elitists. It will not be done by the people you are bashing. Get your heads out of the sand and learn the truth now, before it’s too late.

Dear Rabbi Lerner, I do not know why you think people in the tea party movement are hateful. I am one of those people and I know many like myself. We do not hate anyone but we do hate what is happening to our country. We are believers in the Constitution and desire to live by it. We also want less government, which was the original plan for this country, not the massive liberal govt which is devouring us of all our rights and our ability to live as individuals. Political correctness has brought us to our knees in every area of our lives even our homes! Please explain what is wrong with any of this. I am 65 years old and remember this country when it was not under so much control although it has been moving in that direction for as long as I have been alive. And I have been taking a stand for it that long. If you wish to question my educational level I have several degrees including post-graduate. Hopefully my faith in God is not offensive to you because that would reveal that those like yourself have hateful thoughts towards me. I pray that is not true as I pray for Israel and her people.
