I've been browsing on-line more than 3 hours as of late, yet I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely price enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content material as you probably did, the web can be much more helpful than ever before.

The article seems to completely miss the real reasons behind the current tensing of the Turco-Israeli relations!

First of contrary to the Erdogan administration it is Israel who is to blame as a rwsult of its 'gangster style' foreign policy and massacre of 1,443 Palestinian civilians in Gaza strip.

Furthermore under the new Turkish foreign policy the country is beginning to flex its muscles commensurate with its might. There is now a new reality in the region and Israel may not be allowed to gon on with its aggressive ways.

Turkey as the World's 17th and Europe's 5th largest economy is beginning to remind Israel who is the boss!

Ankara's new foreign policy can only contribute to peace by balancing the scale in favor of peace and by cutting down own Israel's aggressive modus operandi.

Sir/Madam;
      Shouldn't the last sentence of the third paragraph should read "Military interventions...", rather than "inventions". Enjoy your publication very much.

On a positive note, the degradation of Turkish-Israeli relations opens the door to closer Israeli ties with Armenia, a seemingly more natural fit in terms of parallel histories and religions (Armenian Christianity is closer to the Hebrew original). There is the potential for a genuinely affectionate relationship between peoples there, not simply a cold strategic alliance between governments.

Sevket is delusional, as is the case for the vast majority of Turks when it comes to the Armenian Genocide. Yes, some of the more curious among the new Turkish intellectuals and historians have decided it is finally time to learn about what happened to the Armenians. And like the vast majority of non-Turkish historians, they are coming to the conclusion that what happened was, in fact, Genocide. They are also learning that a large number of people within the Turkish population have Armenian ancestors in the way of grandmothers who were young orphan girls adopted or accosted by Turks during the Genocide. So, they are learning that the Genocide is real, not a "paper castle". The paper castle is Turkey's fiction about being the only "Muslim democracy" in the Middle East. A democracy where Armenian journalists get murdered in front of their office and nobel prize winning authors get charged with "insulting Turkishness" simply for mentioning that 1,000,000 Armenians were killed during WWI. There's your "paper castle".

I visited Israel in 1995, right after the peace treaty with Jordan. As a Muslim Turk, my sympathies lied with the Palestinian people, though the secular Turkish government was busy signing alliances with Israel. No government can pursue policies that is in clear contradiction with its national interests and is so vehemently opposed by its people, and in the Turkish case, it was only a matter of time before those mistakes were reversed. I should also add that I have nothing against the Jewish people, as long as they recognize the Palestinian people's rights.

The author's suggestion with respect to the Armenian problem "that the endless embarrassment of the Armenian slaughter be dealt with by blaming the Ottomans and then moving on" had indeed been the official Turkish policy for a long time. In fact, it was one of the fundamental claims of Kemalism that the "new, modern Turkey" was a complete rupture with the "old, backward Ottoman" past. That's the reason Gallipoli and other memorable campaigns of the World War I had never been remembered in official ceremonies, alongside the sad events that took place during the necessary relocation of Armenians in 1915. Books on Gallipoli published in 1970s in the West, for example, are filled with notes that the Turkish cemeteries and monuments are in bad state and receive few Turkish visitors.

The Kemalist policy of claiming complete rupture with the Ottoman past, and hoping that the world will not hold new Turkey responsible for it, meant that while the Armenian scholars were busy publishing scores of books on the so-called "Armenian genocide," the Turkish scholars did nothing by way of response. But the situation is changing. In the last few years, Turkish scholars have increasingly started working on the events of 1915, and as they tell the Turkish side of the story, the seemingly impregnable cause for the "Armenian genocide" is seen to be nothing but a paper castle.

There will be Republic of Kurdistan as a replacement for Turkey. Islam is the core value of the Turkey and only force that could disintegrate Turkey in small nations. The future belongs to homogeneous nations. The Ottoman Empire Genocide committed against several nations is the most serious and dangerous issue against Turkey who needs to resolve it before it disappeared as a nation-state. No one knows where the technology is taking the world? Terrorists might own weapons that could operate several thousand miles away. For example, they can explode one's computer through especial viruses.
