Mitt Romney Cameo in ‘Chariots of Fire’

Plus his interview with Haaretz

Since the major story of this past week centered around the Olympics, I tried to find a clip of the opening scene of Chariots of Fire to mark the official start of the events.

What I did not expect to find, upon close inspection, was the presence of a Mitt Romney doppelganger in the beginning of the film. Mitt Romney is, of course, the one of the other major stories this week. The Mitt-anity begins about 12 seconds in and carries through all the way through the first half minute.

Here’s Romney’s interview with Haaretz, just over the transom from muggy London. In it, he discusses Israel, Iran, North Korea, the economy, China, and Russia. In it, he does not comment on President Obama.
