“Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas … denied Jerusalem’s Jewish heritage in speech yesterday”,

You call this news? This has been standard fare at the P.A., especially by its leadership, since its inception under the ill-fated Oslo Accords. Indeed this pretty much is standard Moslem fare for most of the past few centuries.

Arafat made the same statements during the 2000 Camp David negotiations, according to one Bill Clinton was there. Why would you expect anything different from Abu Mazen? This goes along with Arafat’s statement during an NPR interview in the early ’90s that Jesus was a Palestinian. Naturally the statement went totally unchallenged by the NPR useful idiot (I forget which) who conducted the interview.

Where have you been? Why are you surprised? What did you expect? Intellectual honesty?
