Nobel Literature Prize & Israeli Elections

What’s up? A follow-up to our round-up

Print Email

New items that deserve their own space in good time:

The Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to China’s Mo Yan this morning. I hope these means we’ll see less chalky edits of his work in English now. Mo Yan is also an anagram for “moany” which is how many Philip Roth fans feel each year when the Nobel committee passes him over.

Also, Israeli elections will be held on January 22, 2013. For those keeping track, that is two days after the American inauguration.
