Today on Tablet, Dana Kessler has the story of NOLA, a bakery in Tel Aviv that serves up pastries from the heart of the American South. The bakery’s owner, Talya Rasner, says she’s paying tribute to her grandmother–a Southern belle–who lived through Hurricane Katrina and recently passed away.

It’s a great story (with recipes included). Check it out here!
