Ceasefire Unconfirmed, Fighting Continues

Rockets strike Ashkelon and Rishon LeZion

Print Email

Despite a billion seemingly confirmed reports–Tablet held steady though–the elusive ceasefire that many hope will end hostilities between Israel and Hamas has yet to be declared.

In the meantime, Israel continues to pursue targets in Gaza and rocket fire continues to rain down upon Israeli cities like Ashkelon and even central Israel, the image above is of a building hit in Rishon LeZion (with no fatalities). There are also reports that five Israeli soldiers were injured by a rocket.

With the indomitable Secretary of State Hillary Clinton due to arrive in the next few hours, I imagine the ceasefire will eventually be confirmed. We’ll keep you posted as the news develops.
