• Seven Egyptian soldiers were injured after Islamist terrorists attack them while they patrolled the natural gas pipeline between Israel and Egypt on Friday. [Times of Israel]

• President Obama, following a meeting with Afghani President Hamid Karzai, declared that American troops may be able to leave Afghanistan more quickly as a result of gains made by Afghan forces. [NYT]

• George Abdallah, a Lebanese man who was involved in the murder of an Israeli official and an American military officer, has been paroled by France. Needless to say, some people are not pleased. [JTA]

• Andy Samberg will be front and center in a new Fox comedy about New York police detectives. We can only hope there will be musical numbers. [THR]

• Jewcy’s got the scoop on the two Israeli films that were nominated for Academy Awards yesterday. [Jewcy]
