The hypochondriac in me sees Terror Alert in Jerusalem and immediately feels the need to post. My Israeli counterpart Liel Leibovitz says the terror alert is not such an infrequent thing. Nevertheless…Jerusalem is on a heightened state of readiness, so this is your chance to call and hector your Jerusalem-based mishpocha and ask them to be careful.
Israeli officials have warned of an upsurge in attacks on Israelis from the West Bank of late. An annual survey released late last month said there had been an increase in the number of terror attacks carried out against Israelis in 2012 compared to 2011, but it was accompanied by a decrease in the number of fatalities.
If they pooh-pooh you, tell them it’s my fault.
