On Friday, Cleveland Cavalier Omri Casspi instagrammed a picture of a “Beautiful day in Orlando” just ahead of a game betweens the Cavs and Orlando Magic.

Less than a day later, Casspi, the first Israeli in the National Basketball Association, was holed up in an Orlando hospital with acute appendicitis. Fortunately, Casspi had surgery and seems to be recovering well on his own.

Casspi is already having a rough year. After averaging more than 20 minutes per game in each of his first three seasons–two with the Sacramento Kings and one with Cleveland (including a large number of starts)–Casspi is down to just 11 minutes a game and is only averaging four points and two rebounds a game. The won without him in Orlando on Friday night, despite the Cavs being atrocious this year.

Here’s hoping for a swift recovery for Casspi both personally and professionally!
