In news that should brighten up your Monday morning, E! reports that Jewish leading ladies Natalie Portman and Jennifer Grey attend the same Los Angeles synagogue. How anyone can even attempt to focus on a High Holiday sermon there is beyond me.

It seems Portman has some trouble with that too. In a recent interview with Elle UK, the Oscar-winning Black Swan actress admitted her favorite part about services is bumping into the Dirty Dancing star: “We go to temple together and I freak out every time I see her. I’m such a nerd!”

And even a little Kiddush schnapps can’t seem to ease her excitement about her favorite film. “I can’t talk about it too much, or I’ll start getting teary. There are other movies I love, but no other movie that I have watched over and over.” Who needs spiritual inspiration when your favorite movie star is in attendance?
