Horror legend R.L. Stine, whose Goosebumps book series scared the wits out of every kid I knew, is back with a new project that’s bound to terrify today’s tech addled teens and (maybe!) drag them away from their iPads forever: More. scary. books.

The New York Times reports that Stine, who is actually quite un-scary in person (but check out his creepy office), is reviving his popular, prolific Fear Street series from the 1990s. The first Fear Street book, The New Girl, came out in 1989, and Stine published more than 80 more by 1995, when the last book was published. The next Fear Street book, Party Games, will be out in 2014.

Enjoy sleeping through the night while you still can, kids.

Because so many of you asked for it– FEAR STREET RETURNS! http://t.co/gTydwHPcsp
