Krakow’s Main Square Ranked #1 in World

Lonely Planet names Rynek Głowny most beautiful square

Congratulations to Rynek Głowny, Krakow’s Main Square, which beat out Venice’s St. Marks’ Square, Prague’s Staromětské náměstí (Old Square), and Marrakesh’s UNESCO-approved Djemaa el-Fna square for the Lonely Planet title of most beautiful square.

It’s a well-deserved honor—Rynek Głowny is quite striking, particularly in the summer, when flower stalls line the square and residents and tourists alike stroll through. And if you do happen to be in Rynek Głowny—or in Krakow, for that matter—make sure to stop by the Jewish Community Center for one of their epic brunches.
