Thanks to a new mobile application, the diary of Anne Frank can be read on the go in its original language.

Uitgeverij Prometheus, an Amsterdam publishing house, released a Dutch-language app earlier this month, JTA reports. It costs $8.50 to download, and contains the best-selling Diary of a Young Girl, the version of Anne’s diary that was edited by her father, Otto Frank.

In addition to the text of the printed book, the app also includes several unedited pages of the diary, interactive timelines with photographs of World War II and the attic annex where the family hid, and video interviews with Miep Gies, the Dutch woman who helped the Frank family. An audio book version of Anne’s diary, read by Game of Thrones actress Carice van Houten, is included as well.

An English translation of Diary of a Young Girl was released in app form last year, but this is the first time an application has published Anne’s diary in Dutch. Yves Kugelmann, a board member of the Anne Frank Fonds in Basel, has said that the app “aims to make the Anne Frank story and its context accessible to a new generation of readers.”
