Welcome back to #TrumpWatch, where Tablet presents the daily low-lights of Donald Trump’s attempt to use the dark forces of bigotry to become President of the United States. Today we’d like to direct your attention to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editorial, which calls for readers to abstain from voting for Donald Trump, a “temperamentally impulsive…reality TV Wonderland.”

The largest newspaper in the state asserts: “Wisconsin Republicans: Reject this un-American candidate on April 5.”

Why? Well, the paper of note lists many of the same reasons we’ve been publishing about on this blog daily; namely because Donald Trump, whose “blustering anti-Muslim rhetoric is helping to recruit new terrorists,” has also:

— “stoked the smoldering fears of immigrants long latent in American political culture.”

— “belittled women for decades.”

— “incited violence at his rallies with heated rhetoric aimed at firing up supporters while portraying himself as a tough guy.”

— “displayed contempt for the press and freedom of speech, calling reporters ‘the world’s most dishonest people’ and pointing them out at rallies.”

But “Trump’s crudity and spinning moral compass,” the editorial goes on, “are merely the most obvious problems with his candidacy.” Read the rest of the scathing editorial here.
