Joshua Cohen’s books include Four New MessagesWitzA Heaven of Others, Cadenza for the Schneidermann Violin Concerto, and, most recently, Book of Numbers. For the summer issue of the magazine, Cohen traveled to Azerbaijan to visit the region’s Mountain Jews.

Vivian Gornick is the author of more than a dozen books, the most recent of which is the memoir The Old Woman and the City. For the most recent issue of the magazine, Gornick recalls a 1978 visit to Israel.

Alice Gregory is a columnist for the New York Times Book Review and a contributing editor at T:The New York Times Style Magazine. For Tablet’s third issue, she profiled surfing icon Kathy Kohner Zuckerman, the inspiration behind Gidget.

Géza Röhrig was the star of the feature film Son of Saul, winner of this year’s Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. A graduate of Budapest’s Academy of Drama and Film and the Jewish Theological Seminary, Röhrig wrote for Tablet’s most recent issue about his night at the Oscars.
