We still love you, Gal Gadot, but other Israeli women are making box office bank this summer: The Women’s Balcony, a charming indie comedy that was an audience favorite when released last year in Israel, just crossed the $1 million mark stateside.
It’s an impressive achievement for any Israeli film, particularly one starring actors who are virtually unknown outside of Israel and telling a subtle story about community, love, and faith. So because it’s a Wednesday, and because we can never have too many reasons to celebrate, and because Lord knows that the movie’s message of religious reconciliation is one we need to hear amid all of our infighting, here’s an exclusive clip from the movie:
