Carl Paladino’s Betrayal Of Reason

And a sensational, near-fatal kosher sandwich!

Not only did the right-wing, attention-grabbing, sketchy-ass Rabbi Yehuda Levin abandon Carl Paladino after the New York Republican gubernatorial candidate apologized for warning that children were being “brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option.” Yesterday, he revealed the hazardous circumstances under which he learned of Paladino’s perfidious turnabout to the politically expedient position that homosexuality maybe isn’t bad for kids:

“I was in the middle of eating a kosher pastrami sandwich. While I was eating it, they come running and they say, ‘Paladino became gay!’ I said, ‘What?’ And then they showed me the statement. I almost choked on the kosher salami.”

(Let’s pause and note that Levin was eating a pastrami and salami sandwich. I don’t care how kosher it was, he’s about to be dead.)

As for Paladino’s having cited the concerns of his gay nephew? “He discovered now he has a gay nephew?” Levin replied. “Mazel tov! We’ll make a coming-out party!” Sources say he was being sarcastic.

    Many people endorse, accept, support what Rabbi Levin says and stands for. That’s cool. That’s America. I just fervently hope, and what I fear, is that many will take him to be a “Jewish” representative. He’s one part, one element, not the whole show. Then again for those non-Jews of the right the Rabbi is spot on. To me his views are intemperate as are the stands taken by the Netanyahu government. They make it hard for me to be an American Jew.

    I thought this was a respectable publication.

    Rabbi Levin is to be commended for standing up for traditional Torah values and you are to be condemned for your cynicism and debasing language.

    I want to, as the old song says,”Second that emotion!” A healthy dose of sarcasm is sometimes the best – maybe the only – medicine for such nausea-inducing comments as Rabbi Levin’s. “Feh” is, however, a wonderful response, as well.

    To billie: it’s Cuomo…Paladino is a horrible choice for the Republican ticket, no matter who’s involved; he just runs off at the mouth…now there’s talk of Chris Christie for higher office when he can’t even run NJ…I’m ready to choke w/o a pastrami sandwich!

    So I am taking it by reading all of your so valses “comments” that you agree with the fact that what that narrow minded pinhead said was true? And right? Does it not tell us to love ALL OF OUR NEIGHBORS? DOES HASHEM NOT SAY THAT? do you think that people actually have a choice to be this way?     I feel you need to re-read your Torah and see what it says about hate.

    Then pick up a dictionary and look up the word “scapegoat”.

    Finally, read about a man named Hitler.

    Any Jew that calls for the end of a culture, or to end a specific groups’ rights is in the same category as Hitler. This so-called “Rabbi”, is no Jew and should be ashamed at his comments and he too needs to re-read his Torah. How dare he condemn a group of people because HE doesn’t approve of the way they live their life … sure sounds like Hitler to me.
