On The Weekly Standard?

Politico’s Ben Smith is reporting that FBI agents paid a visit to the Washington offices of The Weekly Standard yesterday after a piece of paper bearing the neoconservative magazine’s address was “associated” with alleged shooter James von Brunn. A staffer at the Standard, which has its offices about a mile from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, confirmed the visit but offered no further details. It’s no secret that the magazine has a Jew or two on its masthead. But, as we noted just before yesterday’s attack, Rupert Murdoch is reportedly about to sell the magazine, founded and edited by Bill Kristol, to billionaire Philip Anschutz, a major supporter of conservative Christian causes. Could it be that von Brunn wanted to strike while the magazine was still “Jewish”?
