Each Monday (or, after holiday weekends, Tuesday), we choose the most interestingly Jewish announcement from that Sunday’s New York Times Weddings/Celebrations section. This week, we have the nuptials of Jamie Schiff and Jason Sperling. The bride’s father wrote a two-act opera based on the Isaac Bashevis Singer story “Gimpel the Fool;” you can listen to a short excerpt here. The bride’s mother is a cantor. And the groom works in the nearly as Jewish entertainment industry, at a special-effects company that does work for the hit AMC series The Walking Dead. Mazel tov to the happy couple!
