Columnist Etgar Keret has plenty of reasons not to want to be in Sicily, at a small book festival. But today in Tablet Magazine he also considers some reasons he may count himself lucky to be there in the circumstances he is, particularly as he recalls the time his father spent on the mainland, just across the strait, gun-running for the Irgun.
