Ground Zero Synagogues

The Manhattan neighborhood of Soho recenty got its first new synagogue since the Civil War, courtesy a formerly Lubavitcher couple who were married almost exactly ten years ago—on September 11, 2001. But Soho Synagogue, as senior writer Allison Hoffman explains today in Tablet Magazine, is merely part of the broader resurgence of Jewish life and institutions in lower Manhattan in the decade since 9/11.
