Wayne Hoffman.(Wayne Hoffman)

Starting today, you can mosey on over to your local neighborhood bookstore and pick up a copy of Sweet Like Sugar, the novel by Nextbook Press deputy editor Wayne Hoffman. As he told Sara Ivry on a recent Vox Tablet podcast, the book centers around the unlikely friendship between a 20-something gay man and a much older rabbi.

Wayne will also be in the flesh at a Tablet Magazine-sponsored reading, with editor-in-chief Alana Newhouse, on Monday, September 12, at the Barnes & Noble on Broadway at 82nd Street in Manhattan. You should come, it will be fun!
