A New Life for Libyan Jewry?

Before he was deposed last month, Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi had actually been courting the country’s largely exiled Jewish community, which traces its roots back to ancient times. Now, as James Kirchick reports today in Tablet Magazine, there may be an opportunity for Jews to be involved in Libya’s new leadership. But in a nation with such ingrained anti-Semitism, that opportunity is tenuous.
