Today in Tablet Magazine, gallerist Robin Cembalest reviews an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum of Eva Hesse’s early, expressionist paintings (which prefigured her more famous post-minimalist sculptures), and suggests that the show’s creators perhaps have ignored the stamp the Holocaust left on Hesse’s work.
