• A report points out the fairly obvious fact that Prime Minister Netanyahu would like to see President Obama defeated and the less known fact that some Capitol Hill staffers were agitated at AIPAC for pushing hawkish policies in the wake of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. [JPost]

• Former London mayor Ken Livingstone said Jews wouldn’t vote for the left because Jews are rich. [JTA/Forward]

bkurtin says:

“Messianic Jews” are NOT Jews; they are Christians, usually Baptists. Living as I do in the buckle of the bible belt, I’ve encountered ignorant Jews who know zilch about Torah and the prophets. The Christians woo Jews into believing in the “blood of Jesus” that has to save them because they specialize in tearing Torah apart. One of the worst things they do is take Leviticus 17:11 and try to prove that we need blood in order to have our sins forgiven. IDIOTIC! The chapter is about NOT DRINKING BLOOD, Verse 17 says “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have assigned it to yu for making expiation for your lives upon the altar; it is the blood as life, that effects expiation.” The Messianics lie their heads off by skipping verse 12 is Therefore I say to the Israelite people: No person among you shall partake of blood, nor shall the stranger who resides among you partake of blood. Verse 10 says “And if anyone of the house of Israel or of the strangers who reside among them partakes of any blood, I will set My face against the person who partakes of the blood. THEN an unusual things happens, in 11, Hashem explains the “why” that nobody should drink blood.

But there is NO need to have a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, NONE. If it was true that sacrifices had to be given, then only the wealthy could have their sins forgiven. After the destruction of the First Temple, no further sacrifices were given. Most of the people in Israel lived too far from Jerusalem, the ONLY place at which sacrifices could be given, so most Jews did NOT give them.

Then the liars talk about Isiah 53 not being read in the synagogues because it clearly (in their minds) describes Jesus. NO IT DOES NOT. The reason it is not read is because it does not parallel any part of the Torah. When reading the Torah was prohibited by one of the various groups, the sages found parts of the prophets that paralleled Torah. Isiah 53 does NOT talk about Jesus; it actually begins on Isiah 52:13 “Indeed, My servant shall prosper, Be exalted and raised to great heights…time after time, we, the Jewish people are called “My servant.”

When we sing Alenu, the ending verse is that “on that day Hashem’s name will be ONE.” That is, the entire world will know the truth of Hashem’s existence and his name will be ONE.

Go read http://www.whatjewsbelieve.org by Rabbi Stewart Federow. He also has a great book that answers all of the questions.

Messianic Jews are NOT Jews no matter what they say. I am a mother, I cannot be a father, too. I believe in what Judaism says, not what Christianity says. By accepting Jesus as their Messiah in order to cover their “sins” they become CHRISTIANS, not Jews.

I have argued with several of the Christians who think they’re Jews, but after showing them the truth, they STILL believe the lies they’ve been told. Now I just turn my back on them and save my breath.
