In response to the immense challenges facing Jewish communities since October 7, countless pro-Israel Jews have bravely spoken out against antisemitism and anti-Zionism. Yet, even those with remarkable professional achievements and personal influence have struggled to determine which actions can make a meaningful impact in today’s polarized political and media climate.

Project Activate was launched to address this need—uniting emerging leaders and activists eager to take purposeful action in the aftermath of October 7.

Our mission is to build a global network of unapologetically Jewish lay leaders, forging connections between American, European, and Israeli Jews. We bring together those who may not have previously seen themselves as part of an organized movement, providing support, practical tools, and a space for meaningful collaboration.

The inaugural event, held in January 2025 brought together 35 participants for an impactful three-day gathering in Charleston, South Carolina. Tailored to individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds, the program featured inspiring presentations by Haviv Rettig Gur, thought-provoking discussions with Alana Newhouse, and dynamic workshops led by Alon Harris.

This retreat sparked meaningful connections and laid the groundwork for an enduring network of support. Participants voiced strong interest in continued opportunities for learning, collaboration, and engagement, all with the goal of building a more resilient and connected Jewish community across the U.S. and beyond.

Building on the momentum of this inaugural gathering, we are actively designing Project Activate’s future, offering opportunities for the participants to deepen their skills and impact and expand the network and initiatives.
