We here at Tablet love nothing more than a Jewish holiday-themed cocktail (see: Passover Ten Plagues cocktails; Tablet’s signature Thanksgivukkah cocktail), and we’ve found the perfect way to ring in the Jewish New Year: a Manischewitz Fizz.
- Sparkling wine
- 1cup Manischewitz
- Step 1
Reduce the Manischewitz in a pan over low heat until it thickens and halves in volume, becoming a syrup. Set aside and let cool.
- Step 2
Take 1 tablespoon of thickened syrup and place in a sparkling wine flute. Top with chilled bubbly and serve.
NOTE: You can find VinePairs other two Manischewitz cocktail recipes—a cheeky take on a Manhattan and the Martini-inspired Mandelbaum here.
