• The so-called P-5+1 group has reportedly been working on the details on the next round of nuclear talks with Iran. The group expects to hold the negotiations in January with a heightened level of urgency. [Al-Monitor]
• Ahmed Ferhani, an Algerian man who set to infiltrate a New York City synagogue by posing as a Jew in order to plant a bomb, has pleaded guilty to a state-level terrorism charge. Bizarrely enough, he’s only getting 10 years. [AP]
• In a surprise move (even to Danny Ayalon), Yisrael Beiteinu head Avigdor Lieberman has left Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon off the party list for the upcoming election. [JPost]
• New York Democrat Nita Lowey has been given the top Democratic seat on the ever-mighty House Appropriations Committee. [JTA]
• Ha’aretz reports that an Israeli academic has been disinvited from a round-table discussion featuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and German Chancellor Angela Merkel and ten German and Israeli academics. Professor Rivka Feldhay reportedly had been critical of the Israeli government. [Ha’aretz]
