For those of you within trekking distance of New York–or for those of you who fancy an occasion to make the trip–Tablet is hosting a panel about the past and future of Jewish deli food at the 92nd Street Y’s chic TriBeCa location.

The esteemed guests for this talk will be Katz’s Jake Dell, who is reimagining his family’s iconic deli on the Lower East Side, and Mile End’s Noah Bernamoff, who has brought diners to tears with his smoked meat sandos and poutine. Dell and Bernamoff share an interesting point of entry into the business, both young men were once angling for different professions–Dell in medicine and Bernamoff in law–when they each took the reins of their respective business.

The panel will be moderated by Tablet’s own Liel Leibovitz who, in addition to being a font of culinary wisdom, is also a great conversationalist. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
