• With just over two weeks until the deadline to form a coalition arrives, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to court the Jewish Home party–led by Naftali Bennett–have failed to bear fruit after talks broke down over including the ultra-Orthodox in the coalition. [ToI]

• Bob Woodward, whom you might say has something of a reputation, has found some surprising praise from conservatives following the journalist’s recent battles with the White House about the recent fiscal crisis. [NYT]

• With sequestration set to take effect, bringing with it $85 billion in budget cuts, Congress has left Washington for the weekend after failing to pass measures to avert the course. [WaPo]

• Among the top finishers in the Jerusalem Marathon were five runners from east African countries and one American. The event drew over 200,000 participants. [JTA]

• The hit shows ‘Homeland’ and ‘Girls’ have been nominated for the oddly named Royal Television Society Award, a British honor given out each spring. [THR]
