Jerry Seinfeld’s ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit last week yielded some gems like his favorite Seinfeld episode (“The Rye“), and his thoughts on airline food (“miniaturized, as if we’re in Gulliver’s Travels“), but the most talked-about revelation came from a seemingly mundane question from Reddit user ToTheBongGuy: “What is the most mundane thing you and Larry have obsessed over?”

Seinfeld’s response got fans buzzing with excitement: “We never obsess over anything that isn’t mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can’t reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it’s big, huge, gigantic. Even bigger than that Amazon package.”

So what is the mystery project? A play, apparently. SplitSider reports David confirmed the collaboration to ShowBiz411:

Larry told me: “I’ve written a play.” A play? For, like, Broadway? “Yes.” And Jerry would star in it? “Maybe. We’re talking about it.”

Mystery solved. Meanwhile, just this morning Seinfeld was spotted going into Tom’s Restaurant, of Seinfeld fame, with Jason Alexander. No word on whether they were discussing the project.
