Tonight begins Purim, the joyous holiday in which Jews celebrate the thwarting of Haman’s plan to exterminate the Jews of ancient Persia. Since the only way to observe Jewish holidays is with a parody music video telling the story of the holiday to the tune of a well-known pop song (See: Maccabeats, The), it’s no surprise that the festive celebration has inspired several musical offerings. To make things even simpler this year, they’re all to the same song.

It’s official, people: we live in a world where there are not one, but two, Purim parody videos of “Uptown Funk,” the impossibly catchy hit from Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Consider it a “Shushan Funk”-off.

The first “Shushan Funk” is from comedian Ronn Blitzer and singer/songwriter Erez Cohen (I mean: Ronn “Markson” ft. Jewno Mars), and gets extra points for several people in the video looking exactly like Mark Ronson:

The second “Shushan Funk,” which doubles as the Rosenblum family’s “Shaloch-E-Manos,” features a Law & Order-style intro (dun dun) and a bunch of kids singing and dancing. Aw!

May the funkiest win?
