It appears that A$AP Rocky, who is one stylish dude, has taken his fashion repertoire to new, er, heights. On March 19, A$AP, who performed in Austin, Texas, wearing a red-and-white-striped long-sleeved shirt (as seen in picture above), with what appears to be a number of tzitzit sewn into the shirttail. He also appears to be wearing a short-sleeved version of the same shirt in his music video for “L$D (LOVE x $EX x DREAMS)” off his new album At. Long. Last. ASAP. I’ve yet to listen to the album, but if it’s as good as his previous studio album Long. Live. ASAP, or his flat-out excellent mixtape Live. Love. ASAP, then you’re in for a treat.
Here’s the video for “L$D (LOVE x $EX x DREAMS),” in which Rocky dons tzitzit. Notably, before the tzitzit can be seen swaying in a mirror (around 3:30), pretty flacko raps “I spent $20,000 with my partners in Bahamas” while pulling gold chains out from under his shirt. A cross pendant is affixed to one chain, but who’s judging? A$AP—and tzitzit—rock:
