One of our favorite parts of our new print magazine—in addition to the Brett Ratner essay on Miami Beach cool, the Anne Frank Manga, and the mind-blowing Kitra Cahana photography, and the…OK, we’ll stop now—is our “Sunrise, Sunset” feature. Part throwback to the old-school synagogue bulletins of yore, part alumni magazine bragging rights, it’s a collection of milestones and events important to you—a section of the magazine defined not by any leader or organization or institution, but by actual people, leading meaningful, varied (often eccentric!) lives. It’s our way of marking the moments that matter to you, our readers, who matter to us.

Issue 1 celebrated weddings, births, and anniversaries—including an aliyah to mark 50 years since one reader’s bat mitzvah—plus a congregation’s successful campaign to fix their landmarked synagogue’s crumbling front steps.

We want you to be part of Issue 2: Email [email protected] with a few sentences explaining the event or milestone, plus pictures if you have them. Be sure to include your full name and city of residence. We’ll be in touch if we plan to use your entry in Issue 2.

L’chaim!
