Here’s some family honesty for you.

Mitchell Schwartz, 26, is one of the best offensive tackles in football, having not missed a game at right tackle for the Cleveland Browns over the last four years. He’s also a free agent. His older brother, Geoff, plays right guard for the New York Giants, so it would seem natural that the Giants, who are in need of a right tackle, would consider bringing on Mitchell to play alongside his brother. Surely, the family combination would be, um, formidable, right?

Wrong.

According to the New York Post, Schwartz thinks the novelty of playing alongside his brother would likely inspire conflict because of their differing personalities.

“We just see things differently. We’re just two different personalities,” Geoff said [on Radio Row]. “I’m more of a—I see grey areas, and my brother’s like black and white. Even if you look on Twitter, the way he breaks down games, he’s very analytical, very technical, that’s the way he is. We really see the game the same way, but we just bicker too much.

Oh, siblings, fighting and jawing at each other and stuff. But at the end of the day, if his brother was signed to big money by the G-Men, Geoff said he’d be able to make it work.

“I mean, I’d love to play with him, don’t get me wrong,” he said. “My parents would be thrilled.”
