During his tour of the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn on Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate John Kasich visited Eichler’s Judaica, where he showed off his knowledge of the story of Passover—what with the lessons of story of Joseph and his brothers and all. Eventually, Kasich met a group of young, apparently awe-struck Yeshiva students, and tried to school them.

So where do we go from here?

Well, if you want to continue to have some laughs, check out Yair Rosenberg’s fantastic list of politicians pandering to Jews. (The Rick Perry one is my favorite.)

Or, if the Kasich video has you yearning for a more nuanced analysis of the story of Passover, check out Alana Newhouse’s editor’s letter from Issue 2 of our print magazine, out now.
