Winner gets a free Nextbook Press book appropriate to his or her comment (if he or she emails me at [email protected] with his or her mailing address).

This week’s winner is “Ephraim K,” who noted of Republican complaints that it took President Obama a couple days to wish Prime Minster Netanyahu condolences on the death of his father, “If anything, Obama’s slight (but reasonable) delay in reaching out to Netanyahu is the ultimate proof of his kindred Jewish spirit: he operates on Jewish time.”

Ephraim gets a copy of Sacred Trash, because the artifacts from the Cairo Geniza, recovered after hundreds of years of being overlooked, might also be said to operate on Jewish time.
