Tablet is hiring a creative and motivated video producer for our audience editorial team. The position is based in New York City but offers remote flexibility.
The producer role will play a key part in expanding Tablet’s video division, working underneath our audience team and closely with other editorial staffers. The job offers the opportunity for participation in and high-level access to a variety of events, international travel, and a lot of space for fun creative freedom.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce a wide range of video content, from short-form social media videos to in-depth documentary-style pieces.
- Oversee the entire video production process, including concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and post-production, with input from the audience editors
- Source and collaborate with freelance editors and videographers, while occasionally filming and editing shorter, more casual content yourself.
- Optimize video content for different platforms.
- Analyze video performance and adjust strategies to enhance audience engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video production, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Skills in rough editing, filming, and lighting.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong storytelling abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms.
- A deep understanding of and commitment to Tablet Magazine’s mission and brand, with a strong grasp of Gen-Z sensibilities.
Salary: 75-95K
