Yes, the Olympics are over and oxpecking journalists everywhere are retreating to less unifying national topics. But for our Olympic hero Aly Raisman, the marathon continues. According to the Boston Herald, here’s what the Massachusetts-native has been up to since winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics:
She scored an endorsement with Poland Springs to add to her partnerships with Ralph Lauren, GK Elite Leotards, Got Milk, Topps and Kellogg’s. She’s been seen hanging out with the New England Patriots and American Idol’s Phil Phillips (whoever that is). She’s been lying out by the pool with her friends and trying to decide whether she’ll go to college next year or train for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
She’ll also be thrown a parade this weekend in her hometown town of Needham, Massachusetts.
And the best part of the update:
While many Olympic athletes, such as fellow teen phenom 2012 Olympic swimming gold medalist Missy Franklin, mark their achievement with a tattoo of the Olympic rings, “I’d rather just have this necklace. It has the Olympic rings on it,” she said of a gold medallion given to her by a friend. “I’m not a tattoo kind of person.”
‘Hectic’ time for Aly Raisman [Boston Herald]
