Winner gets a free Nextbook Press book appropriate to his or her comment if he or she emails me at [email protected] with his or her mailing address.
This week’s winner is Elli, who noted that one of our Jewish Ben & Jerry’s flavors was funny in part because it’s true: “You joke,” she said, in reference to “Charoset the Mostest,” “but B&J in Israel has just unveiled charoset flavored ice cream in time for Pesach.” And lo! The Times of Israel reports that it’s “vanilla-based with apples and cinnamon, and lots of walnuts. It is definitely premium ice cream and quite tasty, but it is not very charoset-y.” In fact! The writer is one Elli Fischer, and he cites me. Hrmmmm.
Elli gets a copy of Nextbook Press’ Hillel: If Not Now, When? by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, because you eat charoset right before you eat the subject’s eponymous sandwich. He also gets a great blog post.
